Champagne on the Park

In celebration of the Capital Region's rite of spring, the Lark Street Business Improvement District presents the 12th annual Champagne on the Park on Thursday, May 5th from 5:30 pm until 9:00 pm in the formal Tulip Beds located within Washington Park. The formal tulip beds are considered at their peak during this week in anticipation of Tulip Festival to be held the weekend of May 7th and 8th.

Champagne on the Park honors and congratulates members of the larger Lark Street Community with a full evening of complimentary champagne, fine wine, and fabulous hors' d'oeuvres from the Lark Street BID merchants.

Sponsors will have an opportunity to market their corporate image as well as enjoy a presence at this Lark Street marquee event through a fully executed and well balanced marketing package.

ART ON LARK

Saturday, June 11th, 10 AM to 5 PM

 

In the Heart of Albany, in what has come to be known as the Arts District, Lark Street plays host to the Premier Arts Event in Albany. The 15th Annual Art on Lark will be packed with 8 City Blocks of Artists and Art Lovers with fine arts and crafts vendors on display and selling their unique items throughout the day. This year’s Event will also feature a number of outdoor installation and crowd interactive pieces as the Lark Street BID partners up with some of Albany’s most highly acclaimed and well respected Art Galleries and Arts Organizations to make June 11th an entire day to celebrate Art throughout the city.

Art on Lark was named Best Arts Event by the Times Union in 2009 and 2010 drawing crowds of over 20,000 both years. It is another yearly favorite of the Capital Region Events and 2011 is a year certainly not to be missed! EXIT 97.7fm will be the Media Sponsor for Art on Lark 2011, presenting the main music stage with a stellar lineup of local music talent. Never will the Arts be more prominent or concentrated in a one-day Albany event.

LarkFEST 

Saturday, September 17th, 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM

Over the past 30 years, LarkFEST has grown into Upstate New York’s largest one-day festival, drawing crowds of more than 80,000 visitors. LarkFEST celebrates this unique community, a flourishing Arts District, and a neighborhood that is known as the Heart of Albany. Once again, eight blocks of Lark Street will be closed to traffic and filled with art, food, vendors, and two stages of the best National and Regional acts presented by EXIT 97.7fm. The Times Union declared the 2010 festival “The Rebirth of LarkFEST.”

 

LarkFEST 2011 will present the second Silent Disco party after a hugely successful debut in 2010. The first ever Silent Disco in the Capital Region featured 10 DJs spinning music to the headphone clad crowds who danced with glee throughout the day.

 

This end of summer event is one of the most anticipated and heavily attended of all Capital Region events for the entire year! It was voted in the top 3 Best Arts Event by the Times Union in both 2009 and 2010. Don’t miss the Celebration this year as LarkFEST Turns 30!
