1st Annual Scavenger Hunt
The 6th Annual Winter WonderLARK marks the inaugural year of our annual scavenger hunt! Participants will be given a list of clues to answer and tasks to complete. The scavenger hunt will involve merchants along Lark, and each clue will be unique to the business that creates it. This is a great opportunity to learn some new facts about your favorite Lark Street businesses, check out merchandise, grab a snack, get out of the cold, and get competitive to win some great prizes! The scavenger hunt goes from noon-4:30pm. Get ready to race around Lark for a chance to win a $50 gift card to Romeo's Gifts or a $25 gift card to Bombers. Join us at 245 Lark to start your adventure!
Outdoor Holiday Market
Last year, our Winter WonderLARK merchants & vendors braved the cold to offer hot soup, kettle corn, handmade jewelry and knit items, & lots of winter gear like mittens and gift items. The Holiday Market has grown this year, and if you haven't finished your holiday shopping, be sure to check out vendors along the street, as well as the shops and restaurants on Lark Street & on Madison Avenue. If you can't find the perfect gift, you can for sure find the perfect gift certificate!
Window Decorating Contest
Merchants along Lark Street will be decorating their store windows and adding to the festive atmosphere of Lark Street! Throughout the month of December, patrons will be able to vote for their favorite window display. Winter WonderLARK provides a great opportunity for festival-goers to walk the length of the street and look at all the displays, and then choose a favorite!
Chef's Consortium Food Sampling
The Chef's Consortium gave Winter WonderLARK attendees a taste of what the Capital Region has to offer. Using local and seasonal ingredients, the chefs prepared a number of dishes that were quickly gobbled up by everyone that stopped by! Check them out again this year for some delicious options! This year will be featuring Rebecca Joyner, the director of dining services at the Darrow School in New Lebanon, Noel Conklin, the natural foods caterer in Woodstock, and a third local chef.
Gingerbread Funshop
Always a crowd favorite, the Gingerbread Funshop will be back at the UAG at 247 Lark Street. Kids & kids at heart decorated gingerbread cookies with lots of frosting & candy, viewed the current artwork & got out of the cold.
Sax O Claus
Enjoy some holiday classics played on the saxophone. Check out the Sax O Claus page!
And Don't Forget the Santa Speedo Sprint!
Everyone's favorite race was back with lots of Santas, elves, reindeer, & even a gingerbread man running! If you missed the race you can check out pictures on the Times Union and All Over Albany websites.
If you couldn't make it this year, make sure you plan ahead for next year, so you don't miss any of these awesome activities!
