On Thursday, May 10th, the Lark Street Business Improvement District will proudly present Champagne on the Park in Washington Park among the formal tulip beds. As the BID marks its 16 Year Anniversary in 2012, we have a number of reasons to celebrate beyond the rich history of businesses and people who have contributed to the growth and success of this organization and to the greater Lark Street Community. Lark Street is not only Albany’s premier destination for Art, Culture, Entertainment, and Urban Life, but it is a unique community; one that honors the spirit of friends and neighbors, as well as individualism and diversity.

Champagne on the Park is a fundraiser that supports the year-round efforts of the Lark Street Business Improvement District to continue promoting the economic and urban development and sustainability of this unique neighborhood through programs including neighborhood safety and marketing, street maintenance and beautification, as well as special events and promotions. The Lark Street Neighborhoods’ emergence as the center of Art and Culture in the Capital District is just one reason it is beloved by those who visit or reside here and why Lark Street is fondly called “The Heart of Albany.” The success of Champagne on the Park depends on the generous support of our friends, neighbors, and other supporters.
